Police break up Easter brawl at Orland Sky Zone
News Desk
Police had to break up a brawl among juveniles Sunday night at Sky Zone in Orland Park.
The trampoline park was packed with a crowd of an estimated 200 young people during a “free jump” day on Easter Sunday.
Video shot during the incident at 66 Orland Square shows chaos erupting, with young people pushing and shoving and lunging at each other as other guests scrambled to get out of the way of the violence.
Published reports indicate the fight started between two youths with no injuries reported.
Police said they initially responded to a battery call at the business and found the brawl in full swing when they arrived. Additional police units were called in from Tinley Park, Orland Hills and Oak Forest, as well as Will County and Cook County sheriff’s departments to help disperse the crowd.
Published reports said one youth was issued a citation for battery Monday afternoon. The business was not cited.
The fight was reminiscent of a similar fight in 2020 at a lock-in event. An investigation found the trampoline park was over capacity at the time with more than 800 guests inside while capacity was listed at a little more than 600.
The village voted to close the business after that incident but upon appeal a court reversed the decision and the business was allowed to stay open after a settlement was eventually reached.
Police did not respond to an email asking for more information on the incident.

Guess it will be closing now. Good kids and families can’t have anything thanks to those who choose not to act civil.
