Three Alsip women charged in meat and liquor theft

Three women were arrested March 7 after allegedly stealing meat and liquor from the Jewel-Osco at 9350 W. 159th St., Orland Park police said.

Kenyury A. Rivera-Balarrcin, 26, Emperatriz Suarez-Chirinos, 33, and Maria G. Romero-Diaz, 29, all of Alsip, were each charged with retail theft.

Police said the women entered the store’s meat department, selected several cuts including shoulder roast, eye of round roast and stroganoff meat, then grabbed five bottles of whiskey from the liquor aisle. They allegedly concealed the items and left without paying.

All three were fined $300, issued a one-year ban from Jewel-Osco, and given an optional court date of April 1.
