Brunch lovers looking for a new hip spot now have a fresh option in Orland Park. Egg Harbor Cafe officially opened its doors on Saturday, March 29, bringing its signature breakfast and brunch dishes to the southwest suburbs.
Located at 14301 LaGrange Road, the restaurant welcomed guests to its warm, country-inspired setting, offering a menu of frittatas, skillets and crepes made with high-quality ingredients.
The Orland Park restaurant marks Egg Harbor Cafe’s 26th location nationwide. The family-owned chain has one location in Wisconsin, six in Georgia, and the rest spread across Illinois.
Among those celebrating the grand opening was Assistant Store Manager Tony Nava, who has been with Egg Harbor Cafe for 25 years.
“I really love this location. It is very nice and quiet, even though it’s right next to a very busy street,” Nava said. “It’s incredibly quaint and cozy inside of our restaurant.”
Nava started as a dishwasher in the kitchen of the original Hinsdale location before training as a cook. He later moved to the Naperville location as a chef before stepping into his current leadership role in Orland Park.
Since opening, the Orland Park community has embraced the new cafe, something Nava deeply appreciated.
“I cannot say enough about our customers and the people of Orland Park who have visited us,” Nava said. “Everyone is so kind and friendly.”
For those unsure of what to try, Nava recommends his personal favorites – the cinnamon French toast that is dripping in delicious cinnamon flavor for breakfast or the chicken avocado sandwich that is far worth the calorie cheat for lunch.
“Although everything we cook here is amazing,” he said.
Egg Harbor Cafe, founded in 1985 by Aimee and Mike Farrell and Aimee’s father, Jack Wright, started with a single location in Hinsdale. Their vision of a gourmet breakfast, brunch and lunch cafe quickly resonated with diners, leading to expansion across multiple states.
The restaurant is known for its commitment to fresh, carefully sourced ingredients, with an emphasis on all-natural and organic options. The menu also features an extensive selection of gluten-free dishes.
The Orland Park location marked another milestone in Egg Harbor Cafe’s nearly 40-year journey, continuing its tradition of family hospitality and innovative breakfast cuisine.
Egg Harbor Cafe is open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
My wife, Monique and I had our first date at the location in Naperville. This May will be 11 years together and 9 years married. We also celebrated at the restaurant for our 10 years anniversary.
