Richard A. Nelson, an Army veteran and resident of Worth, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025.
He was the beloved husband of the late Alice and the loving father of David (Sheila) Nelson, Laura (Gary) Klosak, and Linda Nelson. He was a devoted grandfather of 10 and a cherished great-grandfather of 7. Richard was also the dearest brother of the late Robert (Marie) Nelson and the uncle of three nieces and one nephew.
A proud member of the N.R.A., Richard had a passion for bowling and a lifelong love of golf.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Hwy, Palos Hills, Illinois. A private interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, 11900 S. Kedzie Ave., Blue Island.
