On Friday, January 10, the Manteno Panthers faced the Herscher Tigers in front of the hometown fans. The game was tough on the boards, although the Panthers had a 12-6 lead at the end of the first quarter, then led at the half 21-13.
The second half was a nailbiter, with the Tigers leading in the second half, 28-27. At the end, the Panthers held on and took the game, 48-41.
