With broken hearts, the family of Juana Solis announced her passing on Saturday, January 11, 2025. She died peacefully with her loved ones by her side and has now reunited with the love of her life, her late husband, Daniel Gaona.
Juana was the devoted mother of Yamina (Freddy) Navarro, Daniel (Itza) Gaona, Ireri (Octavio) Gaona, and the late Ruben Gaona. She was the cherished grandmother of Daniel, Camila, Melissa, and Daniela. Juana was deeply missed by her many brothers and sisters in Mexico, along with her extended family and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th Street, just west of Harlem). A service took place at the funeral home at 5 p.m. Additional visitation occurred on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 9 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 10:30 a.m. After the service, a procession led to Resurrection Cemetery, where Juana was laid to rest.
Juana was remembered for her compassion and empathy, admired for her intelligence and courage, and honored for her kindness and unconditional love. To know her was to love her. She was profoundly missed, always loved, and forever remembered.
