Milton Alford, 60

Milton Alford, 60, of the 4500 block of South Leclaire Avenue, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance after police found him at 12:20 p.m. Jan. 6 in a car illegally parked in a handicapped zone in the 4900 block of South Cicero Avenue.

Police said he had a bag containing crack cocaine and was also cited for a parking violation.

In a separate incident, Javontay Langford, 30, of the 5700 block of South Emerald Avenue, was arrested at 9:13 p.m. Jan. 4 near the 6100 block of South Campbell Avenue.

Police said he fled from a car illegally parked and was later found in a nearby backyard.

Langford, a habitual criminal, was charged with unlawful use of weapons after police recovered two handguns with extended magazines and laser sights, including a 10mm Glock with a switch mechanism.

He also had an outstanding warrant and was charged with resisting arrest.

Every since the politicians stop letting parents discipline there own children, they became very hard headed and start relating to the street for the wrong comfort and love that needs to come from home. We as parents needs to stand our soft asses up and come together against the law makers fta better solution cause we are really really loosing our children to these dangerous communities that is filled with drugs and guns, I mean something has to change, funeral homes and jails is not the answer.
