Frank R. Burens, a dedicated Lieutenant with the Chicago Fire Department’s Haz Mat unit, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was the beloved husband of Rebecca Savage and a devoted father to Reid and Mira Burens. He was a cherished brother to Laura (Rob) Doetkott and a dear brother-in-law to Michael (Nancy) Savage, Susan (Mike, C.F.D.) Shrader, and Mary Beth (Jack) Burns. Frank will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
Known for his commitment to his career and his family, Frank’s legacy of service and love will be deeply missed.
Family and friends are invited to honor Frank’s memory at a memorial Mass on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 11:45 a.m. at St. Cletus Church.
