The spirit of the holiday season was in full swing as the Student Council of Willow Springs School District 108 recently came together to decorate the Village Christmas Tree.
This cherished tradition brought students, teachers, and community members alike into the festive fold, with laughter and excitement filling the air.
One of the highlights of the event for many students was the chance to leave school early, just in time for the long Thanksgiving break.
The celebration not only marked the official start of the holiday season but also fostered a deep sense of community and collaboration among the students.
Joined by local leaders, School Board President Joe Bonomo and Willow Springs Mayor Melissa Neddermeyer, the students proudly stood beside the beautifully decorated tree. Both leaders expressed their admiration for the students’ hard work and creativity. President Bonomo shared, “We are thrilled to see our students come together to kick off the Willow Springs Winter Festival. Their dedication and festive spirit truly embody the heart of our community.”
The event set the tone for the upcoming holiday season, bringing the Willow Springs community together to celebrate and enjoy the magic of the season.
