The Will County Board held its reorganization meeting on Monday December 2. New Leadership has been chosen and congratulations to Joe Van Dune (D-Wilmington) as board members elected him Speaker of the Will County Board.
“It’s an exciting time, I am honored to receive the support of the board and look forward to working in this new capacity for the people of Will County. I believe we can come together in a bipartisan way to create policy for Will County that will aid all residents. I am excited to see these next two years unfold,” said Speaker Van Dune.
The board also selected new party leadership with Jim Richmond (R-Mokena) elected to serve as Republican Leader and Sherry Williams (D-Crest Hill) elected to serve as Democratic Leader.
The Will County Board would like to thank outgoing Chairman Judy Ogalla (R-Monee), Republican Leader Steve Balich (R-Orland Park), and Democratic Leader Jackie Traynere (D-Bolingbrook) for their service to the board in leadership and look forward to their continued support as board members.
