Newly-elected Will County Clerk Annette Parker was sworn in and took office earlier this week. County Clerk Parker, a Republican, won the November 5 General Election. She was sworn in by Will County Judge Art Smigielski on Monday, December 2, and immediately assumed the duties of the County Clerk during a lengthy meeting involving the post-election reorganization of the Will County Board.

Prior to taking office, the new County Clerk had served on the Will County Board since 2014, representing District 5. As a Will County Board member, she served as the vice chair on the Executive Committee and Capital Improvements and IT Committee. She also served as president of the Forest Preserve of Will County.

In addition, Parker has served as the executive director of the Lockport Chamber of Commerce and was the previous director of marketing at the Rialto Square Theatre.

“I am thrilled to serve Will County residents as their County Clerk,” Parker said. “My goal is to ensure our local elections continue to be conducted with the highest degree of integrity and security. I also want to maintain the friendly and efficient customer service my constituents rightfully expect when they arrive at the County Clerk’s Office.”

Parker lives in Crest Hill and has been married to her husband, Brian, for 20 years. She is the mother of two.
