At the Thanksgiving Tourney on Friday, November 29, the game between the Peotone Blue Devils and the Manteno Panthers was a barn burner. Both teams came out shooting and ready to go.
By the end of the first quarter, Manteno had a one-point lead, 12-11. The second was the same, with the teams trading baskets the whole quarter. By the half, Peotone had taken the lead, 25-23.
The Panthers took charge in the third quarter, out-scoring the Blue Devils 22-19, while taking the lead. In the fourth quarter, it was all Blue Devils, who took the win, 55-52.
Andrew Norred led the Panthers with 18 points, while Ray Lee had 14. For the Blue Devils, Brandon Weiss led with a game high 30 points and Rueben Velasco added 18. Both teams played their hearts out.
