Willow Springs Village Hall

A new four-flat apartment building is planned for 8290 Archer Avenue in Willow Springs.

On Thursday night, Nov. 14, the village board approved rezoning the site from community shopping to multi-family residential.

The board also granted a variance, allowing units to be 1,680 square feet instead of the required 1,800 square feet.

Developer Matt Krzeptowski, 30, said the two-story building will have two apartments per floor.

“All brick. We’re excited about that,” Krzeptowski said.

Each apartment will feature three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Rental prices are still to be determined.

Demolition of the current single-family home is expected to begin in December or January, with construction to follow.

“It was presented well. You did a great job putting something together for us to consider,” Trustee Tom Arra said during the meeting.

Mayor Melissa Neddermeyer added that the architectural drawings “look like a nice quality building.”
