The Tinley Park Community Band, directed by Barbara Abarro, will present their annual free Holiday Concert on Sunday, December 8, at 3 p.m., in the Art Beckmann Performing Arts Center (enter door #3) at Central Middle School, 18146 S. Oak Park Avenue, Tinley Park. Holiday music will be featured, including LeRoy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride.”
The Concert Band was established in 1987. Members come from all over Chicagoland. Musicians ages 14 and older are invited to join. There are no auditions or residency requirements. Rehearsals are on Mondays, from 7 – 9 p.m. and resume next year at Tinley Park Community Church, 7939 167th Street, Tinley Park.
