“We need to keep moving forward together.”

Incumbent Frankfort Trustee Michael Leddin filed his paperwork on Tuesday, November 12, requesting voters to re-elect him to the village board for another four years. Leddin, who was first elected in April 2021, has been proud of the work he and his fellow trustees have accomplished during the past three years.

“I believe the village has done an excellent job of maintaining its unique charm, while continuing to grow as a community. We need to grow our tax base, while preserving the high standards we all value,” said Leddin. “Expanding our tax base will enable the village to continue providing essential services without raising taxes.”

Leddin holds a degree in Public Law and Accounting and a Master’s in Business Administration. He has served as the Chief Operating Officer/Executive Director for a mid-sized national law firm based in Chicago for the past 24 years, leading the firm’s growth. He is responsible for management in the areas of accounting, finance, human resources, information technology, marketing, real estate and office services.

“My role has been to assess the potential financial impact of decisions, including resource allocation, cash flow, and profitability. My success in this area has shaped my approach to village matters,” Leddin remarked. “I believe my professional experience enhances my ability to serve as a trustee and allows me to bring a strategic, financial perspective to my duties and a holistic view of the importance of all facets of the organization.”

Leddin and his wife, Tammy, have six children between them and two granddaughters. Two of his adult children live in Frankfort. “We are very fortunate to have our children nearby and know how important Frankfort is to each of them. I am proud of what we have accomplished these past three years and look forward to what we will continue to do. We have many important projects underway, and I believe this is the time for experienced leaders, who have been part of the dialogue, to help bring these efforts to fruition,” added Leddin. “I would be honored if voters give me the opportunity to continue serving for another four years.”
