Police activity was noted in the 26100 block of Plum Tree Lane as the Monee Police Department investigated an early morning homicide on November 3. Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at approximately 2:15 a.m.

Upon arrival, a female subject was standing in the front yard. She indicated a male subject that she called for was in the house. Officers located a 39-year-old male subject, with multiple gunshot wounds, who was treated on scene and then transported to St. James in Olympia Fields. He was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.

The female subject also was transported to St. James. A weapon was located, and the area has been secured. There is no threat to the public at this time. Monee Police, in conjunction with the Will County Major Crimes Task Force, are leading the investigation.
