The Blue Devils gave the home fans an exciting win on Friday, October 25, in the last game of their regular season, by trouncing conference foe the Herscher Tigers, 35-0.
The Blue Devils came out wanting to run and preceded to do so. Tucker Cain had 107 yards on 7 carries and 2 touchdowns running, along with 1 receiving touchdown. Chase Rivera recorded 136 yards on 12 carries and 1 touchdown, while Ruben Velasco passed for 88 yards – going 2-2. The Blue Devils had a total of 408 yards on offense.
The defense also had a great night, tallying a total of 89 tackles. Working together, the Blue Devils played a very well-rounded game.
Post season IHSA tournament play now begins, with the Blue Devils facing the Eureka Hornets, in Eureka, at 7 p.m., on Friday, November 1.
At the end of the regular season, the Blue Devils’ record stands at 6-3 overall and 4-3, or fourth in ICE.
