McCook may be going to the dogs, but it is cashing in.
On Oct 7, the village board unanimously approved a license agreement with the Lyons Township Dog Training Club.
Once a year, the club will use the MAX for a training session.
For that right, the club will pay the village $6,900 annually — $34,500 over the agreement’s five-year run.
“They come in and play with the doggies, and then they go home,” Mayor Terrance Carr said.
The dog training club meets weekly in Elmhurst, its website said. The club offers group classes for all dogs, mixed and purebred dogs, from puppies on up, the site said.
