PGN Fun Village

Hickory Hills has approved a new liquor license for PGN Fun Village to allow drinking at the establishment, which is preparing to upgrade the facility on 95th Street.

The new Class CS license was approved at the Oct. 10 city council meeting.

“The new license allows on-premises consumption only, with shorter hours than a regular Class C license for the PGN Fun Village,” said City Attorney Louis F. Cainkar.

This update raises the number of liquor licenses from 28 to 29.

Alderman Patrick Purtill noted that PGN will be installing new indoor golf simulators that offer year-round entertainment.

Cainkar also introduced a resolution regarding hazard mitigation.

“This plan is crucial for ensuring the city’s preparedness for emergencies like tornadoes or floods, making Hickory Hills eligible for necessary funding,” Cainkar said.

City Clerk Joseph Stachnik announced that trick-or-treating hours will be Thursday, Oct. 31, from 3 to 7 p.m.

City Engineer Mike Spolar requested approval of a final payment of $40,752.52 to Lindahl Brothers Inc. for the 2024 Motor Fuel Tax Rebuild IL project, completed earlier this year. The council also approved $1,126,961 in bills for the first half of October.

The next Hickory Hills City Council meeting will be Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m.
