The Kankakee Public Library, 201 E. Merchant Street, invites the community to their family friendly Halloween Spooktacular on Friday, October 25, from 6 – 8 p.m. Celebrate Halloween in comfort with a special indoor “trunk-or-treat,” with candy giveaways, crafts, games, and a scary haunted library on the third floor. Many organizations and businesses, such as ECDA, Clove Alliance, Harbor House, Kankakee United, Childcare Resource and Referral, and RE/MAX, will be present to give out “treats” to young trick-or-treaters. Mayor Chris Curtis and city employees will join in the fun, as well. Costumes are highly encouraged!
This event is free and open to the public. The Kankakee Public Library will be closing early at 5 p.m,. to prepare for the event.
