It’s always nice to get a win on Homecoming, and that’s exactly what the Devils did – a nice win at 52-14. A lively parade, fantastic fireworks, and a good crowd set the stage for the Devils on October 11.

The Homecoming Court paraded on field and Grand Marshal Vicki Moore, owner of Game On Bar and Grill, was honored.

But the real display of the night came from senior Devil Chase Rivera (RB), who broke a single game school record with 24 carries for 300 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Devils prove unstoppable when Rivera is at his best, going 4-0 anytime Rivera carries over 100 yards.

Junior Tucker Cain also carried 7 times, for a total of 151 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns. Senior Connor Pasch carried 5 times, for a total of 10 rushing yards and 1 touchdown.

Senior Quarterback Ruben Velasco passed for 53 yards.

The defense also didn’t disappoint, with big tackles from Chase Rivera, including 3 solo and 3 assists, senior Eric Meltz with 3 solo and 5 assists, and senior Luke Lally with 3 solo and 4 assists.

The Devils are now 4-3 overall and 2-3 in ICE. They battle the Lisle Lions (0-7) next on the road on October 18 and finish the regular season at home against the Herscher Tigers (4-3).
