The Peotone Blue Devils volleyball team faced their conference foe the Streator Bulldogs on Thursday, October 10, and it was a barn burner. The girls came out ready to play. All three sets were determined by seven points in total. Peotone took the first set, 25-22, and were led by Mia Connelley with 20 kills, 7 digs, and 1 assist. Ella Stupegia also added 12 digs, Allie Werner 24 assists, Peyton Bisping 4 aces and 4 digs, and Ava Kosmos 4 digs.
The Blue Devils fell in the second set, 26-28, and the third set was close also – going beyond the 25 point tally. The teams were in a battle, with the Blue Devils down 12-18 in the final set. But Peotone won the fight, taking the third set 29-27.
The Blue Devils are 13-8 overall and 5-6 in ICE.
