In partnership with the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center.
Join residents at the Kankakee Public Library on Saturday, October 19, at 10 a.m., as we welcome Doris Lazarus, a member of the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center’s Speakers’ Bureau.
Doris will tell the beautiful and compelling story of her parents, Leah and Oscar Mosak, and their survival of the Holocaust. Leah and Oscar’s story includes deportation, ghetto survival, mass executions, concentrations camps and slave labor, starvation, a death march, and the strength of the human spirit…survival.
This is a free program. Please join us for this power and impactful day. The Kankakee Public Library is at 201 East Merchant Street in downtown Kankakee. For additional information, call the library at 815-939-4564.
