It was a tough game Friday night for both teams, but Panthers remained victorious their homecoming week with a final score of 21-7.

Peotone wasn’t able to get out of the rough. It was their third straight defeat. Ruben Velasco threw for 83 yards on 18
attempts. Chase Rivera ran for 60 yards receiving and 36 yards rushing. Tucker Cain and Connor Pasch also had 22 years rushing. Outstanding trackless from Connor Pasch with 4 and 3 assists led the defense.

Manteno kept their unbeaten streak. In the first quarter, Tyler Buehler had his first touchdown of the season with a 53 yard run straight into the end zone. Second quarter, Connor Harrod threw an 8 yard pass to Nathan Hupe for another touchdown.

Devils answered in the 3rd with a 38 yard pass to Nate Wehrmann to score their only touchdown of the evening.

Panthers retaliated in the 4th with another touchdown by a Connor Harrod.

Connor Harrod passed for 58 yards and rushed for 116. Niko Akiyama rushed for 54 yards along with Buehler for 53. Outstanding tackles from Tyson Clodi and Matthew Ball kept defense in the running against Peotone.

Panthers remain undefeated at 6-0 overall and 4-0 in conference. Peotone falls to 3-3.

Peotone Devils return home for their homecoming against Streator on October 11. Manteno Panthers hit the road to play Reed-Custer.
