On October 3, officers responded to 24131 Sunset Lakes Drive for an unwanted subject’s complaint. Officers learned from the homeowner all residents had previously vacated the residence, at which time the house was cleaned and listed for sale. The homeowner opened the door and noticed a former tenant and unknown male inside, at which time police were called. Officers searched the house at the homeowner’s request and arrested Justin A. Rice, 38, of Romeoville, and Bara Sheika, 29, of Palos Hills. Both were charged with criminal trespass, and Sheika also was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon due to a firearm being located.
