Peotone High School invites the community to join them as they celebrate Homecoming October 7 -12. Lots of fun activities are scheduled for the week, including the Blue Devils football game, when they face their conference foe the Streator Bulldogs, on Friday night in gridiron action. Make sure to mark your calendars and be part of the action.
Powder Puff Games
The 25th annual Powder Puff Games will be held on Wednesday, October 9, at the junior high football field, with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. and games at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and students. In addition to the games, there will be a performance from our Buff Puffs team (Guy Cheerleaders) and the announcement of the Homecoming Court and Grand Marshal.
Homecoming Parade
Friday, October 11, all schools will run on a Common Plan schedule, with PHS dismissing at 1:25 p.m. On Friday, one of Homecoming’s favorite events, the Homecoming Parade, begins at 4 p.m., with line-up at 3:15 p.m. on the service road behind the high school. The parade will make its way to The Hague, turn south on Hans Brinker Drive, then east on Corning Avenue, turning north on Conrad to North Street, where it will make its way to West Street, and again turn south as it heads toward Garfield and the junior high.
Come support your Peotone Blue Devils football team, athletics, student organizations and clubs, and local businesses! We invite the community to come out and enjoy the fun! There will be lots of candy to enjoy, too!
Football Game
On Friday evening, the Peotone Blue Devils Varsity Football game starts at 7 p.m. against Streator. Come out and cheer on the Blue Devils as they, hopefully, trounce the Bulldogs! Additionally, enjoy performances from the PHS Band and Cheerleading Squad! At halftime, the PHS Homecoming Court and Grand Marshal will be introduced and recognized on the field!
Homecoming Dance
To end the week’s activities, the Student Council will host a Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 12, at the high school. Admission is $20 per student. All students must bring a form of identification to present at check-in.
