Peotone High School celebrated its Cross Country Seniors on Wednesday, September 25, at their senior night. Congratulations to the following students who were honored.

Roman Jelinek: Roman has been competing on the cross country team for the past four years and is the son of Denise and Tom Jelinek. He recalls his favorite cross country-related memory was when Ms. Z. chased the team around the park in an alien costume! After graduation, Roman plans to attend college to study Theater and Fine Arts. Good luck to you, Roman!

Sophia Koprowski: Sophia has been running cross country for the past two years, and her favorite memory was when Mr. Price did a triple backflip during their race! Sophia is the daughter of Melanie and Leonard Koprowski. In the future, Sophia hopes to attend college at Moraine Valley and train to become a Paramedic. Congratulations, Sophia!

Amanda Mezydlo: Amanda is the daughter of Cheryl and Simon Mezydlo and has been competing on the cross country team for the past two years. Amanda’s favorite memory from her two years of running cross country was going to Dunkin’ for a fun run with Ms. Z! After graduation, Amanda plans to attend college to study Environmental Science or Engineering. We wish you the best, Amanda!

Valerie Naples: Valerie has been competing on the cross country team for the past three years and is the daughter of Amy and Mike Naples. Her favorite cross country memory was when Ms. Z. and Mr. Price did a synchronized backflip! After graduation, Valerie hopes to go to college and own nine cats. Best of luck to you, Valerie!

Lauren Regan: Lauren is the daughter of Joseph Regan and has been a part of the cross country team for the past two years. Lauren’s favorite memory was when Mr. Price did the splits at practice! After graduation, Lauren plans on attending college to study nutrition. Good luck in all your future endeavors, Lauren!

Aidan Siegel: Aidan is the son of Alan and Amanda Siegel and has been running at Peotone High School throughout the past three years. Aiden would like to say his favorite memories of his time on the cross country team were practices and meets with Ms. Z. Aiden’s future plans are to attend a four-year university, studying history, with the goal of going to law school! Congratulations, Aiden!
