Hocus Pocus – Movie Night/ Vendor Fair: This October is the perfect time to visit the Kankakee County Museum, 801 S. Eighth Avenue in Kankakee! Join us on Friday, October 4, for our first ever family-friendly Hocus Pocus themed movie night and vendor fair. Beginning at 4 p.m., visitors can enjoy shopping for all their favorite fall scents, treats, and decor, dinner from the Bennet Curtis House, face painting, crafts, and games. The movie will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the beautiful Column Garden, maintained by the Kankakee Kultivators Garden Club. The museum will be open for visitors to enjoy for the duration of the evening’s festivities. Event entry is free!
HFK Presents Haunted History: Then on Saturday, October 5, at 2 p.m., you’ll not want to miss “HFK Presents Haunted History,” also at the Kankakee County Museum. Sit back and listen, if you dare, to the entertaining and chilling tales of the historical hauntings of the Midwest. Stories of the S.S. Eastland, Brookfield Zoo, Fort Dearborn Massacre, and John Dillinger (to name just a few) help to guarantee spooky goosebumps, while learning a bit of history at the same time!
Tickets, with refreshments, are $12 for museum members or $15 for nonmembers. Don’t wait; get your tickets today as space is limited! For additional information, visit https://app.dvforms.net/api/dv/34xxd4.
