CONFERENCE: South Suburban Red

HEAD COACH: Jim Ramazinski

2023 RECORD: 6-4 (lost 42-13 to Sycamore in first round of the Class 5A playoffs)

OUTLOOK: Evergreen Park has made five straight postseason appearances and nine trips to the playoffs in the past 12 seasons. Coach Jim Ramazinski is in his second season with the Mustangs and is looking to keep the momentum going.

Evergreen Park has four returning starters on offense and five on defense. Seniors include Armani Bravo-Hassan (OL), David Herrera (DL/OL), David Johnson (RB), Caleb Keyser (S) and Genesis Ward (DE).

Six impact players from last season are now playing college football, but Ramazinski is hopeful his young guys can step up.

“We are hoping to compete for a conference championship and make a playoff run,” he said.

Last season, running backs Jedidiah Adjayi and Antonio Clay-Jones were tough to stop. David Johnson is set to step in to replace those graduates and do much of the same.

“He brings toughness to the running game and leadership,” Ramazinski said.

DID YOU KNOW? Evergreen Park’s football field has new turf, a video scoreboard and a resurfaced track they are excited to show off.
