On Saturday, August 24, the Beecher Lions Club is sponsoring it’s “All American Day,” an all-day event on Gould Street in downtown Beecher. The event will include a car show and a military tribute with military vehicles, including artillery on display from the Illinois National Guard. Performers for the military tribute include the Beecher High School Band and the Chicago Stockyard Kilty Band.
The afternoon includes motorcycle stunts performed by the 815 Boyz and a “public” burnout event. At 6 p.m., a street dance is planned, with “Reset” performing live music in front of Sit-N-Bull. The evening will be capped-off with a drone show, which is set to start at approximately 8:15 p.m. The show will be viewed best from an unobstructed area north and northwest of Penfield and Gould Streets and the surrounding areas.
The free event will include food trucks, ice cream, sponsorship tents and much, much more.
