MorningStar Mission in Joliet has added new staff members to assist with development and community relations.

Aleta Finney Pavnica is the Director of Community Relations. A lifelong resident of Will County, she has worked in the areas of business and education throughout her life. Currently, Pavnica is a board member of JTHS Foundation, The Salvation Army, and the Spanish Community Center. A graduate of Governors State University, she taught at Prairie State College for 10 years. Pavnica is a long-time volunteer at MorningStar. With three adult sons, she has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to philanthropy and family.

Peggy Sue Munday holds the position of Director of Development. A native of Kankakee County, Munday currently holds a seat on their County Board. She also sits on the Board of the United Way of Kankakee and Iroquois Counties and the Bradley-Bourbonnais Rotary Club. A member of the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce, Munday sits on the Women in Networking committee. A former Athena Award winner, she is a well-known Motivational Speaker and has more than 40 years of volunteerism throughout Kankakee County.
MorningStar Mission serves all of Will County with emergency shelter, as well as a drop-in center for cooling and heating, in addition to daily meals served at their Café.
