We the People of Kankakee County, a group of local businesspeople, is continuing plans for The Red Gala, with ticket sales ending on September 7. Proceeds from this formal “red” event go to local fire departments throughout the county.
Held at the Quality Inn on Saturday, September 21, and beginning with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 6 p.m., tickets are $100 and are available at the Quality Inn front desk, Elite Community Credit Union, and also online at Eventbrite.com. The gala includes dinner, dancing, and a silent auction.
Riverside Medical Center is the Title Sponsor for the event, with Nucor Steel and Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital signing on as “Chief Sponsors.” Dr. Wendy Menigoz and A.N. Webber Logistics are assisting as “Deputy Chief Sponsors.” The Village Pub will sponsor Happy Hour, plus On the Rox is the Wine Sponsor for dinner.
