WILLIAM AGEMA
William “Billy” Agema, 92, formerly of Palos Heights, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2024, in Aurora, Colorado.
He was an Army veteran.
William was born on March 13, 1932 in Chicago. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 69 years Jeanine, and loving daughter Becki Healy. Devoted father of Connie (Lee) Stulgis and cherished Papa of Rae Ann, Brittany, Patrick, Emily and Jacob.
William and Jeanine raised their daughters in Palos Heights. After working for 40 years at Illinois Bell Telephone Company, he retired in 1991. He and his wife moved to Bonita Beach, Florida, in 1999 and enjoyed the warm weather until moving to Colorado in 2017 to be closer to their daughter Becki and her children.
William’s ashes have been buried next to Jeanine’s at Chapel Hill Gardens South in Oak Lawn.

Verna Bartkowiak of Chicago, Clearing community, who graced this earth for 91 years, passed away peacefully August 2, at home with her loving family at her side.
She was the beloved wife of the late Herman Bartkowiak Sr.; loving mother of Deborah (George) Rudar, Kenneth (Cynthia) Bartkowiak and Herman Jr. (Renee) Bartkowiak; cherished grandmother of Rebecca (David) Novotny, Katie (Joe) Migliore, Christopher (Sara) Rudar, Lindsay (Bart) Ethredge and Samantha (Todd) Staben; dear great grandmother of Gabby, Addison, Aiden, Olivia, Isabella, Francesca, Laitynn, Chase and Jackson. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Verna was preceded in death by all her brothers and sisters.
Visitation was held August 7 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation at the funeral home on August 8 until time of Prayers. Procession from the funeral home to Two Holy Martyrs Parish, St. Rene Goupil Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. After mass, family and friends met at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery for Verna’s committal service.

We celebrate the life of Christine H. Cirone, who passed away August 4, after her courageous struggle with cancer.
She was the devoted mother of Dominick (Rachel) Cirone; loving grandmother of Luca and Nadia; fond sister of Barbara (Paul) Bochenek; dear aunt of Matthew (Lauren) Bochenek and Roseanne (Bill) Conrad and great aunt of Kailey, Ella, Aiden and Vivian. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Joan Strnad and her sister Elaine Strnad. She will be dearly missed by many members of the Cirone family.
A Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 23 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem) and a Service in Celebration of Christine’s life will be at 8:30 p.m. Christine will be lovingly remembered as someone who loved life, loved to dance, loved music and found great joy in her family and friends. She epitomized elegance, style and grace throughout her life.

Juergen Franz “Frank” Fischer, age 64, passed away July 26.
Devoted son of the late Gerhard and Hildegard Fischer; loving husband of Mary Ogonowski, brother of the late Norbert (Pamela) Fischer, son-in-law of the late Leonard (Alice) Kazlauskas, brother-in-law of Therese Vitrano, Maria Karpuleon, and Joe Kazlauskas, and uncle to many nieces and nephews, passed away after a long battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ogonowski, son Robert Fischer, daughter Brittany (Kyle Marek) Fischer, step-daughter Angela (Mark) Faxel, and step-son Jason Ogonowski. He is also survived by his two step-grandchildren, Gabriel and Elias Faxel, as well as his grandchild who will be born in January 2025. Juergen will be greatly missed by his family and friends and will be forever loved.

Amelia Gonzalez (nee Rangel) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family August 1.
She was the beloved wife for 66 years of Arturo Gonzalez; cherished mother of Magdalena “Maggie” (John) Townsend, Alma Rosa Gonzalez, Martha Korbel and Arturo Gonzalez; loving grandmother of Sean (Madison) Townsend, Amelia Erickson and Lucas Townsend; dear sister of Ana Maria Rangel (late Jose Guadalupe) Sepulveda, Elvia Rangel, the late Pedro Hernandez Jimenez, late Maria Rangel (late Roberto) Marines, late Jesus Rangel Fuentes, the late Roberto Rangel Fuentes and late Aurora Rangel. Amelia will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Amelia was preceded in death by her parents, Elvira Fuentes de Rangel and Prof. Jesús Ma. Rangel Abundis.

James E. Roe, 73, of Worth, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 9.
He was a Navy veteran.
He was the beloved husband of Paula (nee Gearen). Loving father of Lisa (James) Heenan, Timothy Sr. (Amy) Roe, and Katie (Richard) Ohlund. Cherished grandfather of Amber, Karalyn, Caleigh, Madalyn, Timothy Jr., Liam, and Emmett, and great-grandfather of Violet. Dear brother of the late Steven (Lynda), Kenneth (Patti), and Daniel (Joan) Roe. Beloved son of the late James and Dolores Roe. Fond son-in-law of Charles Kuhenbeaker. Dear brother-in-law of Greg and the late Curtis Gearen. Special uncle of many nieces and nephews and friend of many.
Funeral services were held August 14 from the Becvar & Son Funeral Home, 5539 W. 127th Street, Crestwood, to Our Lady of the Ridge Church. Interment and Military Honors were at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.

A Memorial Visitation in honor of John and Doris Tracy will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Foran Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., with A Service in Celebration of John and Doris’ lives held at 12 noon on Saturday. Doris and John were residents of Central Stickney for 55 years. They had moved to the town of Snohomish in Washington State in 2020 to be near their granddaughter and her family. Doris was a devoted member of Our Lady of the Snows parish, and an avid bingo player. Doris passed away in September 10, 2020 after she and John had moved to Washington. John loved the outdoors and loved walking his dogs through the neighborhood and while living in Stickney, John was also very proud to be in the Marine Reserves. John was a Boy Scout Leader with Charles J. Sahs School. He also was in the Army Reserves. John passed away June 26, 2024. We will gather together to celebrate and acknowledge their lives and the contributions they made to their community and church. John and Doris’ wish was for both of them to be buried at the same time together at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
