PAMELA BROUGHTON
Pamela Broughton, age 64, of Chicago, Garfield Ridge community, passed away July 21.
Pamela Broughton was born in Madison, West Virginia on January 18, 1960 to Edward and Betty Broughton. She moved to Chicago, IL with her family in 1963. She spent the rest of her life there. Pamela was a kind and caring person. She always enjoyed teaching people and was very encouraging. She liked to give gifts just because she was thinking of someone and was always excited to give them in person. She was of Baptist faith.
She is survived by four children: Pamy Mendoza (Shawn Aldridge), Victoria Mendoza (David Perez), James Broughton (Yolanda Collins), and Kevin Broughton (Jolene Gervais); eight grandchildren: Samantha Mendoza, Alexis Mendoza, Desiree Villanueva-Collins, Cervantes Gonzalez, Kaleope Gervais, Joely Gervais, Sylar Broughton, Sofia Perez; two brothers: Johnny (Sue) Broughton, Eddie Broughton; three Sisters: Gerry Zimmerman (Tony), Kathy Smith, Jennie Broughton (Juan Arroyo.)
Memorial visitation was held August 1 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem).

Samuel DeFilippis, passed away July 9.

Karen “Kasey” Dockus beloved wife of Steve “Doc” Dockus; loving mother of William (Sirena), Krystina and the late Delilah; proud grandmother of Alexandria, Raul, Adrian, Enzo and Ariel and William; great grandmother of Naomi; dear sister of the late Debbie. Kasey will be missed by her many friends and her little Tikki “Tequila”.

Alejandro X. Flores, age 34, passed away July 21.

EUGENIA GONZALEZ
Eugenia Gonzalez graced this earth for 94 years. She passed away after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. She enjoyed gardening and cooking and lived independently in home on the southwest side of Chicago for all of her life. She was employed for many years at Schering Plough, which is now owned by Merck, as an optometrist and lab technician. Eugenia was a lifelong Chicago Democrat and for 40 years was an election judge and voter registration advocate. She was the mother of 3 children, Estelle, Jose and Ray and also grandmother to 3, Ricky, Agatha and Ryan.
Friends and family met on Monday, August 5 at Two Holy Martyrs Church, St. Symphorosa Church for a visitation until time of Mass. Procession from the church to Queen of Heaven Cemetery where Eugenia will be laid to rest alongside side her beloved mother, brother and sister-in-law. A much loved and elegant woman of great intelligence, strength and integrity. She will be greatly missed, always loved and forever remembered.

Eleazar Herrera, age 35, passed away July 23.

JESUS “CHUY” IÑIGUEZ
Jesus “Chuy” Iñiguez passed away peacefully July 31, with his loving family at his side.
He was the beloved husband for 39 years to Maria; loving and devoted father of Erika (Fabian) Rodriguez and the late Jesse Iñiguez; proud grandfather of Mia, Alyza and Zara. Chuy will be missed by his many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Margarita and his brother Agustin Iñiguez.
Visitation was held August 4 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation was held August 5 at the funeral home until time of Prayers. Procession from the funeral to St. Rita Cascia Church for a Mass of Christian burial. Jesus wa laid to rest next to his son at Resurrection Cemetery. Jesus was a wonderful man who made everyone feel so good with his sparkle and humor. He will be lovingly remembered for his sharp wit, his love of music and the laughter he shared with his family and friends.
CINDY RITA LAYBURN
Cindy Rita Layburn, age 64, passed away July 25.
Born on June 26, 1960, Cindy was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend who touched many lives with her warmth and smile.
Cindy leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her mother Hilde, her husband Tom and his supportive family, her sister Doris, her niece Elizabeth, her nephew Max, her daughter Lisa, and her grandchildren Xavier, Angelina, Lorenzo, and Ava, as well as her beloved dog Sadie. Her warmth, kindness, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. We find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, free from pain, and will forever remain in our hearts.

Chawakarn “Cha” Milindawad passed away July 21.
Born in March 1939, Cha was a man of distinguished character who touched those he worked or played golf with.
He is survived by his wife Pranom Milindawad (nee Vjarapana); son, Poramin Milindawad, daughter, Chariya Milindawad, grandson Ayden Milindawad, and daughter-in-law Naruemon Kaenson. His memory will be cherished, and his absence deeply felt by all who were fortunate to experience his warmth, his wisdom, and his sense of humor.
