Event to benefit the Employee Wellbeing Fund.
Baseball fans and corporate sponsors can cheer on the Windy City Thunderbolts July 27, while supporting local healthcare workers. The Franciscan Health Foundation of South Suburban Chicago is hosting Home Team Healthcare Hero Night on July 27, at Ozinga Field, 14011 S. Kenton Avenue in Crestwood, to benefit the Employee Wellbeing Fund.
Healthcare workers may fail to adequately care for their own mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical needs, while caring for others. The Employee Wellbeing Fund helps employees manage and overcome burnout, in addition to improving care delivery and providing opportunities for mental escapes encouraging mindfulness, creativity, and relaxation.
The Home Team Healthcare Hero Night features entertainment by Strawdawg Band, as well as postgame fireworks, access to the Kids’ Zone, opportunities to ride the mechanical bull, a split-the-pot raffle, and a 90-minute all-you-can eat buffet with hamburgers, hot dogs, soft drinks, and water. Vegetarian options will be available, along with a cash bar and private party decks. Gates open at 4 p.m., and first pitch is at 6:05 p.m. Tickets are $25 through June 30 and $30 starting on July 1.
The first 200 to enter the ballpark with Home Team Healthcare Hero Night tickets receive a swag bag, featuring items provided by event sponsors.
Sponsorship opportunities, ranging from $500 to $10,000, are available online through July 8. Sponsorships include the opportunity for an informational booth at the game, provide promotional materials for the swag bags, as well as various types of recognition based on sponsorship level. Sponsorships include game tickets and the buffet, with the number of tickets corresponding to the level of sponsorship.
