Traditional Memorial Day Services were held in Manteno on Monday, May 27, as the community remembered their fallen military and deceased. Ceremonies were held at Deselm, Blooms Grove, Veterans, St. Joseph’s, and Elmwood Cemeteries.

After those services were completed, parade participants met at the American Legion Post, including the Manteno Color Guard, police, firemen, veterans, and Scouts, and marched to Legion Park for a community remembrance service. The group then gathered at the Legion Post for a light lunch and socializing.
