Through no fault of their own, some children in our community have experienced trauma and abuse. At Child Network, the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program provides advocacy for these children who are involved in cases in the Kankakee County court system. CASA volunteers give hope to our community’s most vulnerable children.
Child Network invites the community to “Coffee With CASA” at Connect Roasters, on Friday, June 14, anytime between 7:30 and 9 a.m., to learn more about the CASA program. Complimentary coffee and cinnamon rolls will be provided, with current CASA volunteers on hand to discuss the benefits of advocating for a child. Connect Roasters is at 141 S. Main Street in Bourbonnais, across from the Dairy Queen store.
If you are interested in making a difference in a child’s life by becoming a CASA or would like more information, please join us at Connect Roasters on June 14 or call Patricia Memenga at 815-936-7372. You also may reach Patricia by email at pmemenga@childnetwork.org or visit the Child Network website at www.ChildNetwork.org.
