The Millikin University community, in Decatur, held its annual Honors Convocation and Distinguished Faculty Lecture on Thursday, April 25, at Kirkland Fines Arts Center. More than 125 awards were presented to Millikin students and faculty honored for their commitment to academic excellence, including Jupiter Holcomb, from Manhattan, who received the David S. Monroe Art Award.
Honor Society
Kevin Hogan, of Monee, recently was inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success at Central College in Pella, Iowa.
Graduations
On May 12, Emily Fredona, from Monee, was awarded a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, from St. Norbert College, in DePere, Wisconsin.

Dean’s List, President’s List
The University of Evansville, in Indiana, recently announced students named to the Dean’s List, including Emily Palmisano of Beecher and Nico Borrelli from Manhattan.
Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), in Manchester, recently named the following students to the winter President’s List, including: Luke Siepak, Caroline Contorno, Melissa Gatlin, and Tyler Grauer – all of New Lenox.
SNHU also announced the following students named to the winter Dean’s List: Niko Rodriguez of Beecher, Jacob Keagle – New Lenox, Aida Barrett – Peotone, and Nicole Tennison – Steger.
Kade Hupe of Peotone has been named to the Dean’s List at Rockford University for the spring semester.
The University of Dubuque recently announced Makenzie Schussler of Manhattan and Kyle Feckler of New Lenox have been appointed to the spring semester Dean’s List.
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater announced students named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester, including Jackson Gray and Miles Hagen, both from New Lenox.
