On April 29, at approximately 5:12 p.m., a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Marcellus Bearden, 55, of Chicago, for driving while license suspended and aggravated speeding, after being stopped for speeding 66-mph in a 35-mph zone. Bearden was processed and released.
On April 30, at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 6600 block of Monee-Manhattan Road, to investigate a theft. Upon the officer’s arrival, they learned an employee allegedly stole a pair of Apple Air Pod Pros valued at $179.99. Ariel Sharell Lane Salahuddin, 23, of Hammond, Indiana, was arrested for theft under $500. She was processed and released.
On May 3, at approximately 10:10 a.m., a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of George Rivera-Sanchez, 28, of Chicago Heights, for driving while license suspended after being stopped for a registration violation. Rivera-Sanchez was processed and released.
On May 3, at approximately 7:04 p.m., a Beecher resident reported a male subject pointed a gun at him after a road rage incident. The complainant said he was a passenger, when the vehicle in front of him was driving slowly in the 6000 block of Monee-Manhattan Road. The vehicle in front began to “tap on the brakes aggressively.” Once the vehicles pulled alongside each other, the complainant said he “blew a kiss” at the driver of the other vehicle. The driver of the vehicle used some choice words and pointed a gun at the complainant. Both vehicles went their separate ways. The case has been turned over to investigations.
On May 4, at approximately 4:48 p.m., a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Elroy Dawson, 47, of Monee, for driving while license suspended after being stopped for speeding. Dawson was processed and released.
