DOLORES DESPARROIS

Dolores Desparrois (nee Raudis), age 87, of Chicago, Garfield Ridge community, passed away peacefully April 25.

Beloved wife of the late Robert W. Desparrois; loving mother of Robert (late Julie) Desparrois, Joseph (Rose), Raymond (Kim), and Kenneth; grandmother to 12 children Nicholas, Bobby, Nicole, Johnny, Amanda, Becky, Christine, Sharon, Jennifer, Wendy, Angela, Michael, and many great grandchildren. Dolores was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, and she also had a love for all things fishing. Dolores worked for over ten years with the Cook County Clerks Office.

Visitation was held April 30 at Foran Funeral home until time of prayers. Procession from the funeral home to St. Daniel the Prophet Church for a Mass of Christian burial. Carmen A. Diaz, age 62, passed away April 4.

If Roses Grow in Heaven Lord, please pick a bunch for me. Place them in my mother’s arms and tell her they’re from me. Tell her that I love and miss her, and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while. Remembering her is easy, I do it every day, but there’s an ache within my heart that will never go away. Rest in paradise Mommy you will forever be missed.

Dolores was a lifelong parishioner and member of St. Camillus Church, Choir, the Mothers Club and St. Vincent DePaul Society.

MADELON M. KNIGHT

Madelon M. Knight passed away April 15.

She was born 10-2-1931 to John and Hazel Themascus. John an immigrant from Athens, Greece who later met his wife Hazel in America. She was raised with four siblings. Anastasia, George, John and Mercedes. All have preceded her in death. She was survived by her cherished daughter, best friend, Sharon (Russ) Lyewski, granddaughter Lisa (Mike) Gehl, Russell (Amanda) Lyewski who blessed her with three great grandchildren. Joey, Benny and Lennon. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Each and every one of them were special to her in every way. Madelon Knight, aka Teenie, is now at rest where she yearned to be.

FULGENCIO SALINAS

Fulgencio Salinas, age 91, passed away peacefully March 2, surrounded by his loving family.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by his beloved wife Sofia, his sons Raul, Gilberto, Uriel, Jose, and his daughters Delia, Adela, and Esther. Fulgencio’s life was blessed with the joy of family, evident in the 24 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren who carry his spirit forward.

Friends and family gathered to pay their respects during the visitation on March 6, at Szykowny Funeral Home, located at 4901 S. Archer Ave. Chicago. A Funeral Mass to honor Fulgencio’s life was held March 7 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 2127 W 22nd Chicago. An open casket viewing took place before the mass.

Alfreda Szczesna, age 90, passed away peacefully April 10.

Beloved wife of late Marian Szczesny; loving mother of Jolanta Wilk, late Krzysztof Szczesny, and Elzbieta (Jerzy) Kacki; dear grandmother of Mariusz (Sylvia) Wilk, Konrad (Dorothy) Wilk, Claudia (Max) Reytikh, Rafal (Malgorzata) Kacki, Joanna (Michael) Clancy, Agnieszka (Mariusz) Kawecki, Jakub Kacki, Anna Baran, and Lukasz Szczesny; cherished daughter of the late Helena (nee Duda) and the late Wladyslaw Baranski; fond sister of the late Tadeusz Baranski and Mariola Bytonska. JUSTYNA SZTACHELSKA

Justyna Sztachelska, age 38, passed away February 27.

Justyna Sztachelska was born on August 1, 1985 to Barbara Sztachelska and Stanisław Sztachelski in Zielona Góra, Poland. In 2001, Wojciech Sikora met Justyna at the local grocery store, Bobaks. Justyna and Wojciech went on to have 4 children, Violetta Sikora, Wojciech Sikora jr, Adrian Sikora, and Veronika Sztachelska. Justyna was preceded in death by Stanisław Sztachelski and Darius Sztachelski. She is survived by Barbara, Violetta, Adrian Wojciech, Wojciech jr, Veronika.

GERTRUDE C. TARBOX

Gertrude C. Tarbox (nee Klucznik), age 100, of Chicago, passed away peacefully at home February 25, surrounded by loving family.

She is survived by her son Gerald (Beverly) Tarbox, her grandson Nico Tarbox, nieces Gloria Golec and Nancy Loduca, and nephew Carl Lance. Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband Richard Tarbox, her son James (Janie) Tarbox, her brother Bernard Klucznik, and her sisters Helen Lance, Jean Golec, and Sophie Sikon.

Robert L. Urso, age 80, of Countryside, passed away peacefully Feb. 6 following a long illness.

Bob is survived by his partner and best friend, Robin Scott; his sons, Robert (Jan) and Joseph (Drew) Burke; his daughters, Tina (John) Boshardy and Cheryl (Chris) Aiello; his grandchildren Caitlin (Matt) Burke; Alex and Max Aiello; Leo Boshardy; Natalie Urso; Madison Aiello; Sophia, Jack and Thomas Urso; and Vincent Aiello; along with great-grandchildren, Roman and Coen Burke. He also leaves behind three sisters, Mary Ann Rieley, Dee Dee Harmon and Ellen Manual. Our beloved Bob will be missed by many good friends that brought joy into our lives during his long battle with cancers. Bob is preceded in death by his mother, Anne Varey, his brothers, Mario (aka Jim) and Tom Urso, and his wife Patricia.
