James W. Czajkowski formerly of Chicago, Garfield Ridge community, passed away April 4.

He was the loving son of the late Walter and the late Irene (nee Gryska) Czajkowski; dearest brother of Robert J. Czajkowski and Linda (Michael) Brice; beloved uncle of Marlise Garcia, Jennifer Williams, Robert David Czajkowski, Kristin (Craig) Deming, Bridget (Eric) Knott and James (Ashley) McKinley. Great uncle and cousin to many.

Visitation was held April 9 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation at the funeral home April 10 until time of Prayers. Procession from the funeral home to St. Daniel the Prophet Church for a Mass of Christian Burial.  James was laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery.

Loving mother of Jackie (Tim) Jana and Jimmy (Dawn) Fabrizio; dear grandmother of Kyle (Lindsay), Ryan, Madison, Mackenzie (fiancé John Zackey) and Nolan; great grandmother of Wesley; dear sister of the late Donald (late Mary) Halagan; fond aunt of Maria (Ed Wilt) Halagan.

Visitation was held April 2 with Panakhida Service at the Richard-Midway Funeral Home, 5749 Archer Ave. (corner of Lorel). Visitation was held April 3 until start of Funeral Service at the St. Peter & St. Paul Orthodox Church, 6980 S. County Line Road, Burr Ridge. Pamela “Pammy” C. Hruska (nee Parisi), age 79, passed away March 24.

Beloved wife of John “Butchy” Hruska; Pamela is also survived by her former spouse Tom Kijanowski and is the mother of his 5 children. Loving mother of Thomas Kijanowski Jr, Matthew (Mary) Kijanowski, the late Michael Kijanowski, Christine Kijanowski Niemiec and Amanda (Mark) Kijanowski Casnova; dearest grandmother of 22 and great-grandmother of 18; cherished daughter of the late Joseph Parisi and the late Dorothy Snivley Belskas and the late Joseph Belskas. Fond sister of the late Joseph Parisi, the late Frank Parisi, the late Scott (Barbara) Parisi, Joyce (Gary) French, Peggy (Joe) Boccia and Tom Parisi. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

KowalskyADRIENNE MARY KOWALSKY

Adrienne Mary Kowalsky (nee Domaracki) unexpectedly passed away at home April 6.

She was the loving wife for 54 years to Robert Kowalsky; devoted mother to Jeffrey (Casey), Matthew (Martha) and Arianne (Robert Wong); proud grandmother of Elizabeth and James Wong, Samantha, Julius, Matthias, Isaac, Sophie, Henry and Leo Kowalsky. Adrienne was born on October 25, 1948 and was a lifelong Chicagoan from the Heart of Chicago neighborhood, with the exception of a few years living in Virginia as a Navy wife. Her perfect day would consist of any day, any occasion, that involved bringing her whole family together. She loved being with her husband, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Adrienne lived for her grandchildren. She would start shopping in May for their Christmas presents, always ending up with more than enough for everyone. Her signature gift had become ‘pajamas’ for everyone, earning her the ‘nickname’ “Pajama Gramma”!! Adrienne loved attending the numerous varieties of sporting events that her grandchildren were involved in. Adrienne was a devout Catholic, attending Mass every weekend, and finishing every day saying a full Rosary before bed.

Beloved wife of the late Robert Kusch; loving mother of Kimberly (Chris) Freepartner, Mary (Ryan) Kirby and Nancy (Jason) Borneman; dear grandmother of Robert Kusch, Tyler Andrews, Madison Kirby and Cameron (Carter) Borneman; dearest great-grandmother of Theodore Kusch; cherished daughter of the late Dorothy (nee Hayes) and the late Thomas Nash. Also survived by relatives and friends.

Ernestina A. Sanchez passed away peacefully April 6.

She was the beloved mother of Antonio, Jose, Luis, Maria Elena, Marivel and Teresa; much loved grandmother and great grandmother of many; dear sister of Antonio, Teresa, Jose Luis, Jovita, Rogelio, Enrqueta, Maria Elena and the late Jorge and the late Jesus. Ernestina will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Cherished by her children and grandchildren Ernestina will be remembered for her kindness and compassionate understanding and acceptance of everyone and her lively sense of humor. Much loved by her daughters-in-law for being the “best mother-in-law”.

Flag FuneralEugene Siwinski most recently of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 March 25, with his youngest daughter Jeanne and youngest grandson Austin by his side.

Eugene was a loving father to Sharon (Siwinski) and Gregory Wegler, Cynthia (Siwinski) and Donald Swanson, and Jeanne (Siwinski) McLeod; loving lifetime companion to Barbara (Scholl) Siwinski; loving and devoted grandfather to Craig (Jennifer) McManigal, Katie (Jamal) Gorham, Kelly (Lawrence) Duffy, Steven Swanson, Jacob Swanson, Megan Wegler (fiance Kramer Lewis), and Austin McLeod, step grandfather to Kate (TJ) Fontana and Jack (Erika) Wegler, and a loving great grandfather to Lena, Charlie, Penelope, Ailah, Faye, Cassius, Leila, TJ and Baby Duffy to be, and step great grandfather to Luke, Elsie, and Louie. He is preceded in death by his only son, Christopher Gene Siwinski, his loving parents Valeria (Dorywalski) and Joseph Siwinski, his sisters Evelyn (Joseph) Kedzierski, Gertrude (Joseph) Kunka and his brother Edwin Siwinski. He was a loving nephew and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, loved his many cousins, and was a fun friend to many more.

Gene, or Geno as his friends liked to call him, was an army veteran during the Korean war. After the service, he began working as a truck driver for OK Papers in Franklin Park moving up the ladder to warehouse manager serving OK Papers for 40 years before retiring when he turned 65. He loved pitching while playing 16″ softball in his early years, was an avid bowler and fisherman being most proud of catching his 45″ musky while fishing on Pickerel Lake outside of Eagle River in Northern Wisconsin with his son-in-law, was a great dancer with the love of his life, Barbara, enjoyed watching his various professional sports teams, loved listening to music and going to festivals and state fairs, especially loved listening to the Kids From Wisconsin and Molly B and eating cream puffs at the Wisconsin State Fair, enjoyed meeting up with his buddies for their once a month breakfast get together for many years, really enjoyed watching his grandchildren at their various sporting and life events, and loved the challenge of putting together many 2000 piece puzzles in his retirement years.

Dad, we miss you already! We love you lots! May you rest in peace! In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (www.alzfdn.org) or planting a tree in his memory would be appreciated.
