The Lady Bobcat Basketball Team headed to Manteno on Monday, February 12, to take on Coal City in regional semi-final action, but the Coalers were too much for the Bobcats in this one, which resulted in a 22-53 loss.
Beecher was outscored 27-13 in the first half and just couldn’t get anything to drop for them. Foul trouble also was a major problem. On the night, Evelyn Jablonski led Beecher with 12 points.
Still a young team, with most players returning next year, the Bobcats finished the season with a 17-13 overall record, while taking third in the RVC at 12 -3. The team certainly finished the season on a high note, winning 11 of the last 15 games and giving them much hope for next year.
