Carthage College J-Term Study Tours: The following Carthage College students traveled during J-Term, which is a month-long period to explore subject areas, as well as a Carthage tradition since the early 1970s. J-Term (January Term) study tours allow students to experience new cultures and ideas without committing to a full semester abroad. Participating this year were New Lenox students: Quinn Roth, who studied Sports Journalism in Europe; Matthew Ruggiero – photographing nature in Costa Rica; and Bradley Szubryt – Biodiversity, Brains and Behavior in Honduras.
Graduations
The University of Wisconsin – Platteville awarded diplomas to nearly 500 students at the end of the fall semester. Congratulations to Aidan Tyk, of Manhattan, who received a degree in Criminal Justice.
Dean’s/President’s Lists
The following local students have been named to the Dean’s List at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee for the fall semester, including: Emilie Nugent – Manteno; Danielle Sarcinelli – Monee; and Jennifer Andjelic, Alissa Breen, Nina Marchigiani, and Hannah Walk, all from New Lenox.
The University of Wisconsin – Platteville recently announced its fall semester Dean’s List, which included Mickey Ceh, from Manhattan, and Derick Meents, from New Lenox.
Augustana College announced more than 1,100 students were named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester. Recognized students include: Madeleine Grude, Paige Rogde, Abigail Soper, Grace Strache, Miranda Tyda, and Emma Vander Wall, all from New Lenox.
The following local students have been named to the Dean’s and President’s Lists at Drake University in Des Moines for the fall semester: President’s List – Troy Koska of New Lenox; Dean’s List – Travis Sirevicius, from Crete, Summer Olshefski – Manteno, and Laci Smith – New Lenox.
Trinity Christian College, Palos Heights, has named Samuel Hernandez, of New Lenox, to the fall semester Adult Undergraduate Dean’s List.
