Can begin with two-year degree.

“Many people may not realize a person can get started in a career in health care with only an associate degree.

The Illinois Rural Health Association is hosting a free Virtual Rural Health Careers Panel Discussion on Thursday, February 22, at 7 p.m., to expose high school and college students, or anyone looking for a career change, to these various career opportunities by learning first hand from professionals in the field on how they got started and what their job actually entails,” explained Illinois Rural Health Association Executive Director Margaret Vaughn. Panelists include a certified surgical technologist, a community health worker, medical lab tech, a radiology tech, and a respiratory therapist. Registration is free but required by noon February 21.
