Shepard, Richards cheerleaders earn highest sectional scores
The varsity cheerleaders from Richards High School took fifth place at the IHSA Sectional at Hinsdale South to qualify for the IHSA state finals.
The varsity cheerleaders from Shepard High School in Palos Heights on second place on Saturday at the IHSA Sectional tournament at Hinsdale South High School. The team advanced to the IHSA state finals as a result.
Coached by Shepard graduate Felicia Marr, the Astros earned their highest score ever at a sectional tournament. The team has enjoyed another tremendous season, winning first place in the Co-Ed Division at both the Andrew and Lincoln-Way East invitationals.
The varsity cheerleaders from Richards High School in Oak Lawn won fifth place on Saturday at the IHSA Sectional tournament at Hinsdale South High School in the Large Varsity Division. The team advanced to the IHSA state finals next weekend as a result.
Coached by Richards graduate Jessica Gall, the Bulldogs have produced a stellar season. Her team took first place at the Andrew Invitational, second at the South Suburban Conference meet, and third at Joliet West.
