On Thursday, January 18, in a home conference game against Wilmington, the game started off close, with both the Panthers and the Wildcats each exchanging baskets. By the end of the first quarter, though, Manteno was leading Wilmington, 10-6, with Manteno controlling the boards. Sara Schmidt had 5 offensive, along with 4 defensive rebounds. Sara was also the leading scorer for the Panthers, tallying 18 points on the night.

At the half Wilmington had cut into the score and only was down by two, 20-18, but the second half was all Panthers, with Manteno out scoring Wilmington, 27-15.

In the win, Madie Gesky contributed 10 offensive rebounds – 9 defensive, along with 8 points. The Panthers shot 31 percent from the field in the 47-33 victory.
