On Friday, January 5, the Peotone Blue Devils varsity basketball team began the new year on an upbeat note, taking conference rival Wilmington 42-37. The Blue Devils gave their fans something to cheer about as they led from start to finish.
On the night, Ruben Velasco led the team with 15 points and 7 rebounds, while Brandon Weiss finished with 8 points and 9 rebounds. Peotone’s record currently is overall 4-12 and 2-4 in ICE.
