BeroDOROTHY B. BERO

Dorothy B. Bero (nee Bocinsky), passed away December 5.

Born in Chicago, Dorothy attended Blessed Agnes of Bohemia school with older siblings Lucille and Jim. She participated athletically in Sokol gymnastics and Ballet.

Preceded in death by her son, Mark Wagner. Dorothy was a doting mother – Mark was the love of her life. She is survived by her nephew James Bocinsky. She worked many years for Corn Products. Dachshunds were her soulmates. Veseckys was her favorite bakery and Popeyes her go-to fast food – with the hot dog a close second. She also went to school and obtained her beautician’s license. Dorothy was an active member of the Red Hat Society, Let’s Polka USA Club, Concertina Club, St. Patricia Parish of Hickory Hills and the Bedford Park Luncheons. She enjoyed Chicago Sports teams with family and friends. Experiencing the pinnacle moment when she attended the 2006 Super Bowl in New Orleans.

BranderKEITH BRANDER

Keith Brander, age 60, of Sandwich, passed away December 2.

Keith was born February 12, 1963 in LaGrange, son to Cornelius and Joanne (Ruff) Brander. Keith worked at Associated Raymond Company for 29 years as a Field Service Technician II. Keith is survived by his children Matthew Brander and Stacie (Justin) Veleta. Siblings, Jackie (Glen) Maly, Randy (Sheila) Brander, Brian (Janet) Brander. Keith is the proud grandfather to Kaidence Brander, Brice Veleta and Zander Veleta. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kacie Brander and son Eric Brander. He valued his children and grandchildren dearly. Not only was Keith a devoted and loving father/grandfather, but he was also a kind and thoughtful man. He spent much of his life bringing joy to his family and friends and continually looked out for those he cared about. Keith was always willing to help someone in need and the impact of his love is one that will not be forgotten.

Dear friend of the residents and staff of The Goldton at Athens.

Visitation was held December 13 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation was held December 14 at the funeral home until time of Celebration of Life Service. Barbara was buried next to her husband at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery.

Beloved husband of the late Rosina Fiandaca (nee Ippolito); loving father of Phyllis Gergets, Chuck (Cindi) Fiandaca and the late Phyllis Fiandaca; dear grandfather of Sean (Deanna) Gergets, Joe Gergets, Samantha Gergets (Sean Tully), Joey (Amy Swanson) Fiandaca, Hannah (Max) Lucas, and Cali Fiandaca; dearest great-grandfather of Ryan, Michael, Violet, Sophia, and Bodhi; cherished son of the late Charles and the late Filippa; fond brother of Grace (Tony) Mazzia, the late Angelo (June) Fiandaca, JoAnn (Frank) Agnello, the late Salvatore (Evie) Fiandaca, and Rosina (John) Olson. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Proud member of the Societa Giovanile M.S. di S. Caterina Villamosa.

We celebrate the life of Lydia Gonzales who passed away peacefully with her family at her side.

She was the cherished mother of Marc (Marisa) Gonzales, Michael (Nancy) Vasquez, Stephanie (Zachary) Lubin and Jackie Vasquez; proud grandmother of Michael, Aidan, Elias, Sophia and Gianni; dear sister of Veronica Gonzales, Victoria (Joe) Guajardo, Monica Gonzales, Patricia (Rolando) Rodriguez, Martell Rogers and the late Jessica; loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held December 15 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation was held December 16 at the funeral home until time of Celebration of Life Service. Per her request, Lydia will be cremated, and she will be buried next to her mother at Queen of Heaven Cemetery at a later date.

Marian Kuspal, age 76, passed away December 8.

LopezARTEMIO “TEMO” LOPEZ

Artemio “Temo” Lopez, age 67, formally of Summit, entered into eternal life November 24.

Artemio was born November 18, 1956 the only son of the late Felisa and Luis Lopez. Artemio married the love of his life, Lupe Melendez, on December 17, 1977. He devoted his life to his family and work. He will always be remembered for being happy, hard-working, and kindhearted. Artemio loved to be at home and with his family. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, nature, listening to music, dancing and simply having a good time! He was a loving and caring person, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law and uncle.

He is survived by his two children, Jesse (Leilani) Lopez, and Laura Lopez; his grandchildren, Jocelyn, Jesse, and Annalyse. He will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, God children, cousins and friends.

A mass in honor of Artemio was celebrated on December 5 at St. Blase Church (Blessed Martyrs of Chimbote Parish), 6101 S. 75th Avenue, Summit. Our hearts are broken to announce the unexpected passing of Martin Perez on December 8. A longtime resident of Chicago’s West Lawn community, currently residing in Morocco, Indiana.

He was married to the love of his life, Guadalupe Aguirre for 40 years; cherished father of Yesenia Aguirre, Alan (Blanca) Perez, Melissa Perez, Edson Perez and Christopher Perez; proud grandfather of Elian Gutierrez and Ellie Perez; dear brother of Gloria, Armando, Carlos, Chayo, Rodolfo, Alejandro, Marco Antonio, Marco Polo, America, Rosa, the late Francisco and the late Juan Jose. Martin will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews, and especially his longtime companion, Achilles.

Visitation was held December 14 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Avenue, (55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation was held December 15 at the funeral home until time of Prayers. Procession from the funeral home to St. Daniel the Prophet Church for a Mass of Christian burial. Martin was laid to rest at St. Casimir Cemetery.

PETER ANTHONY SANTUCCI

Peter Anthony Santucci Sr., 91, of Palos Park, passed away peacefully.

He was a loyal son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Peter was born in Italy to the late Mercurio and Umbertina Santucci.

Peter was a devoted husband of 60 years to the late Ann (nee Gonnella), beloved father to Peter A. Santucci Jr. and wife Gail (nee Giragosian), adored grandfather to Steven and wife Alexis Santucci, and Gabriella Santucci.  Survived by his brothers Antonio and wife Darlene Santucci, and Alfredo and wife Terry Santucci.  Cherished brother of the late Petronilla, Alberino, and Vinicio. Remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

May he rest in Eternal peace with his Heavenly Father and all who preceded him.

Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 14327 Highland Ave. Orland Park. Entombment Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
