On Tuesday, December 12, the Blue Devils lost to a very good Streator Team, 55-20. In the conference battle in front of hometown fans, Brandon Weiss led the Devils with 10 points.
Then on Friday, December 15, Peotone had another conference battle against Reed-Custer. It was a close game throughout, but the Blue Devils came up a bit short, 32-41. Peotone was in foul trouble all night, including three starters fouling out.
With 1:49 to go in the game, Peotone was up 30-29, but Reed-Custer ended up outscoring the Blue Devils, 12-2, down the stretch, including hitting numerous free throws.
Brandon Weiss again led the Devils with 12 points, while Colin Emsweller added 7.
To end the week, on Saturday, December 16, the Blue Devils traveled to Westmont for a non-conference competition, but they lost to a very good Westmont team, 56-40. Down by 16 at the half, the Devils cut the difference to 9, but could get no closer. Brandon Weiss led the team with 15 points, followed by Ruben Velasco with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Devils are now 1-10 and 1-4 in ICE.
