November 28, at approximately 5:35 p.m., a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Antoine Monroe, 26, of the 2700 block of W. Potomac, for driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, operating an uninsured vehicle, and failing to yield. Monroe was cited and released with a notice to appear.
November 29, at approximately 5:09 p.m., a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Kevin Sasaki, 36, of the 13900 block of Laurman Street, Cedar Lake, for speeding and an in-state warrant out of Will County for failure to appear. Sasaki was transported to the Monee Police Department, where he posted the required bond amount, was cited, and released with a notice to appear.
November 30, at approximately 12:37 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Quality Inn Hotel, 5815 W. Monee-Manhattan Road, for a complaint of a stolen 2023 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck. Upon arrival, officers discovered the truck had been taken from a semi-truck car hauler parked outside the hotel. Monee Detectives are investigating all leads.
November 30, at approximately 4:27 p.m., a traffic stop on Monee-Manhattan Road resulted in the arrest of Derrick Jones, 53, of the 3000 block of Chicago Road, South Chicago Heights, for driving with a suspended or revoked license, operating an uninsured vehicle, and improper lighting. Jones was cited and released with a notice to appear.
December 1, at approximately 12:10 a.m., a traffic stop on Monee-Manhattan Road resulted in the arrest of Justin Franco, 32, of the 5400 block of Hermitage Avenue, Chicago, for driving with a suspended or revoked license, suspended registration, and operating an uninsured vehicle. Franco was cited and released with a notice to appear.
December 1, at approximately 11:47 p.m., officers met with a Monee resident regarding a forgery complaint. The victim advised somebody cashed a $9,000 check from her checkbook, which was cashed at her bank. Further investigation revealed a check she wrote for a different amount was used to create the fraudulent check. The victim said she sent the check via the Monee mail service. Monee Detectives are investigating all leads.
